Kurt Wagner is a teleporting mutant from the Bavarian Alps. Ironically a devout Catholic, his demonic appearance makes it difficult to attend mass. His alias is Nightcrawler. My favorite mutant from the x-men.

Doctor Curt Connors had turned into a mad lizard man after an experiment to regrow his amputated arm went wrong.

I based this on the first impression I got after watching the cartoon as a kid.
